Property Document Vault

Keep the documents that explain your property together, instead of buried across WhatsApp, email, and somebody else’s phone.
Property records accumulate slowly. A receipt today. A survey plan next month. Drawings later. An inspection report in somebody’s WhatsApp. An agreement saved on another phone.
Years later, nobody remembers where anything is.
The Property Document Vault is being built to keep important records organised around the property itself.

Your property’s paper trail should not disappear inside chat history

When several people hold different files, reconstructing what happened becomes a project of its own.
Without this tool
• Receipts get mixed with everyday WhatsApp messages.
• Drawings can exist in several versions.
• Family members may each hold different documents.
• Years later it is hard to reconstruct what happened.
With Document Vault
✓ Organise records by property.
✓ Separate them into categories.
✓ Come back to the same place when you need a file.
✓ Build a clearer paper trail over time.
You provide
Property profile
The vault is organised around a property, not a general folder.
The document
The file you want to keep with that property.
Category
So a title, a drawing, a receipt, and an agreement are not dumped into one pile.
Date and a short description
So you can tell later what the file is, when you know those details.
You get back
✓ One organised property record
The files you add, kept against that property.
✓ Document categories
Ownership papers, survey and plans, drawings, receipts, agreements, and inspection reports.
✓ A place to return to
When you need the property’s records again.
Storing a file does not mean BuildMyHouse has verified it.
The vault is for organisation. It is not an official government record, and it does not prove that a document is genuine. This page does not claim a special security standard beyond the account protection BuildMyHouse already uses.

How it works

1
Create or select the property
Give the records a home.
2
Add the documents
Only what you choose to store.
3
Organise them by category
So the next search is not through a chat thread.
4
Return when you need them
The record stays with the property.

Who it is for

Homeowners and Nigerians abroad
Useful when several family members are involved and the records are already splitting across people in Nigeria and people abroad.
Professionals
Lawyers, architects, and consultants can work more clearly when a client can point to an organised set of files. Sharing controls are not described here because they are not part of the tool yet.

Questions people ask

Straight answers about what this tool does and what it does not do.
What documents can I keep in the vault?

The planned categories include property titles, drawings, receipts, inspection records, and agreements.

Does storing a document mean BuildMyHouse has verified it?

No.

Can my family access the documents?

Not yet. This page does not promise family sharing. Access will only be described when that feature exists.

Is this a replacement for official government records?

No. Keeping a copy for yourself does not replace the record held by the relevant office.

Can I store construction receipts later?

Receipts are one of the planned categories. BuildMyHouse also has a separate Receipt and Invoice Vault on the roadmap. This page does not claim those tools are already connected.

Does BuildMyHouse hold my money?

No. BuildMyHouse does not hold your money through this tool. It does not safeguard, escrow, or release customer funds. BuildMyHouse is not a bank or escrow company.
